Después de tenerme unos dias con el corazón en un puño, Freya ha cruzado el golfo de Carpentaria en varios dias, parando a dormir por el camino. Derivando unos 10 km por noche.
Me parece tremendo.
El Blog lo explica mejor que yo.

Nota del Sea Kayaker Magazine:
"After eight days and seven nights in her kayak Freya Hoffmeister has completed what is arguably the most difficult passage of her circumnavigation of Australia. To stabilize her kayak for sleeping, Freya strapped a paddle across her deck with a paddle float on each blade. The seas were often rough, so if she wasn’t able to sleep at night, she would take naps during the day when conditions allowed.
Freya began the crossing Friday, April 24, and arrived at 6:10pm, Friday, May 1. Members of the Gove Surf Club in Nhelunbuy paddled out to escort her to the beach. She stepped ashore tired but in good shape, her only complaint some sores on the backs of her hands.
You can follow Freya’s expedition through our website, just click on Freya’s picture below the magazine cover image. We’ve featured Freya’s circumnavigation in the February, April and June 2009 issues of Sea Kayaker. We’ll continue to follow this remarkable kayaker’s progress in future issues of the magazine and in our monthly e-newsletter."
